Vinyl decorated pallets are all the rage these days! Especially when they are so easy to customize. Using just two items - pallets and decorative vinyl - the possibilities for custom home decor signs are endless.
VINYL PALLET - DIY #1
Vinyl Pallet: Supplies
Here's what you'll need to gather:
Vinyl Pallet: Step One
Pour your desired paint color in a bowl (if you're painting your surface), and with a clean brush, paint over your surface. Let dry.
TIP:
For an antiqued look, use a dry brush with your paint applied and brush over your surface with the intention of not providing full coverage of paint. You can also use sandpaper on your pallet after it's had a chance to dry to take back off paint in the areas of your choosing for an antiqued/weathered look.
Vinyl Pallet: Step Two
Now you can take your vinyl and cut it to fit your specified area. You're laying out your pieces so that you are ready to apply them to your piece.
Next:
Peel back the backing of your vinyl to expose the sticky side. This is the side that will go directly onto your piece. Once you've peeled the vinyl backing off, you can place the image directly onto your piece and rub it on using a popcicle stick or plastic vinyl tool so that the vinyl adheres completely.
Vinyl Pallet: Step Three
I thought it would be neat to write a fun saying at the bottom of my pallet. So I sketched out the words in pencil first and then traced over my sketch with a black paint pen.
Finished!
Now you have an inspirational wall hanging to add to your favorite space!
